Djokovic makes Paris Masters history, sets up Hijikata clash

Novak Djokovic, 39, became the oldest player to win a match at the Paris Masters, coming from a set down to beat Valentin Vacherot 6-7, 7-5, 6-1. He needed a medical timeout for his right shoulder. The Serbian will face Australia’s Rinky Hijikata in the second round, with a possible third-round meeting with Alex de Minaur.
